Obviously, a game like this isn't going to have astonishing Deus Ex-esque plot - actually, the fact that there's a plot at all surprised me. There are a few nuisances - like having to reassign Research Points at the start of *every* mission - but nothing too grating. I can generally make "Moderate" at first try. So that's fun! The difficulty seems alright, too. So it's a bit more involved than just placing towers and clicking "go". Similarly, you might end up moving support towers near enemies where they have no business being. So you can click and drag your towers to make them follow the critters, but you run the risk of moving other towers on the same ring *away* from enemy paths. Each orbit can be freely rotated, but only the entirety of the orbit can be moved. You place your defense sattelites on building spots on orbits. I think everyone is sick of tower-defense games by now, but this one has a pretty interesting mechanic. Recommended if you can get it while it's on sale. TL DR summary: A tower-defense game with an interesting twist and a fun theme. But if you really like them or you have never played one before then this is worth adding to you game collection. Overall… yes… ok… this is another tower defence game. There is a tutorial if you are new to tower defence games. The dodgy 50's style sound effects work well with the theme of the game. The story is funny and has very typical 50's movie script. There are various challenges to do within the game and there is arcade mode if you want to have a break from the story.Ī vintage 50's science fiction theme presents the context of the game well. I would recommend starting on easy first and then go from there. This might make the game frustrating after awhile. Even on the moderate setting it will take many attempts to get your strategy right. It is great fun to play but gets very challenge quickly. You can move the towers around its orbit giving the game a unique dynamic to the tower defence genre. MUST BUY ADD TO YOUR WISHLIST NOW :DĪ traditional tower defence game with a twist. Overall very good value for money and will happily runs on full graphics with most if not all machines, that's even including mine, and I don't have the full requirments. You also only use towers and upgrades that you have unlocked within the story mode to fight off with adding more reason to do the story itself. These include the following, Story (unlock new towers, upgrades and enemy's to use and fight against in other modes), Challenge mode wich is based within single player levels just with alot more deadly enemy's and objects to fight against and finally my favourite, Arcade mode this allows the user to fend off countless waves of enemy's attacking a single base, coming from different directions. There are multiple game modes included within the game it self. This game is very different in a good sence within it's gameplay mechanics compared to the normal tower defenders, for example: you can move towers along the orbit, different path ways for enemy's to come from and also the logic required to survive higher levels. I picked up this game for 50p in the steam sale just a couple of days ago and loving it already! It also makes a change to have something like this in my pile of games, a change from the old shooters, puzzler and platformers on Steam. Very, very good game, would highly recomened this game to anyone who slightly likes tower defence games.
